oceans of creativity with Naomi Frooman

Naomi possesses an MFA in Scriptwriting and Story Design from Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly Ryerson). She writes feature coming-of-age dramas and sit-com television.

Naomi is also an accomplished editor and grant writer. She has previously collaborated with Queen’s University, NATO, the Vulnerable Media Lab, and Pink Chicken Comedy.

She has written successful grants for OGS, SSHRC, Ontario Creates, and Canada Council for the Arts.

Naomi studied both Art History and Film and Media during her undergrad at Queen’s University.

She has a strong visual eye and has worked as a freelance Production Designer for features, shorts, music videos, and television.

Naomi has a passion for design, most Production Design Portfolio images are from Naomi’s apartment.

Naomi has worked as a freelance makeup artist since being a teenager. She started doing makeup for high school theatre and studied as an apprentice under Katie Hunter, working haunted houses, and film sets, doing special effects makeup.

She continues to work as an MUA supervisor on independent sets including features, shorts, music videos, and television.
